Designer’s description: This sock pattern is inspired by the film The Blob and honours 1950s horror films and 1950s style. This was a time when bobby socks were in fashion and lurid sci-fi/horror crossovers were all the rage in the cinemas. These ankle socks feature a ruffle at the cuff which can be knitted in a contrast colour, and a lace pattern evoking the eponymous Blob lapping at your feet. Instructions are given for three sizes according to foot circumference.
