Designer’s description: Mistiúil is the Irish word for “mystical”, and seems very fitting for the name for this hat. When I first learned the Brioche stitch, I had been intimidated by it for a long time. Looking at all of the beautiful project knitters were creating all around me, I felt like they had been initiated into some type of magic that I was not yet privy to.
Now is my turn to pass on the joy of learning a new technique to you. You are guided by video tutorials every step of the way for this hat, to ensure that you always know what an instruction means. With sizes to fit the whole family, this hat is the perfect project to get your first tastes of the Brioche stitch. It knits up quickly with still enough variety so it never gets boring. Difficulty: This pattern is intended as an introduction to Brioche. The only pre-requisite is knowing how to work basic stitches (knit, purl and slip) and decreases. Five sizes.
