Accessibility statement: More Kitty Mitts has two versions. The 58 page large print, easy to read version has 24 point Arial all black text, no italics, 1 inch margins and fully written directions. It has been formatted to be read clearly by screen reader programs, with minimal abbreviations and alt text. The 26 page 12 point paper saver file has all the same features, but in a smaller sized font.
The patterns from the original Kitty Mitts collection have been my most knit patterns, so now seemed like a good time to add a few more. All three mitts have different designs on the top. They are bordered by ribbed cuffs at the fingers and wrist. The reverse side is worked in 3 by 2 ribbing. You have the choice of two thumbs, the “little kitten” or “big kitty” (short or long), and the mitts may be easily lengthened at the wrist and finger ribbing, or the long thumb. You may cast on in either direction, too. Instructions are step by step in terms a loom knitter will understand. Tigger Mitts have broad horizontal stripes bordered by narrower vertical stripes. Don’t be fooled – these are a fun take on Mosaic colorwork, so you only work with one color in a row! Mr. Milo Mitts have a gentle lace pattern on the top, perfect for when you want a dressier mitt to wear. Buddy Bear Mitts have a soft smocking that is fun to make, using an easy lifted knit stitch. Loom: 3/8 inch small gauge with at least 35 pegs flat knit. Yarn: 125 yards worsted weight yarn.
