Designer’s description: Inspired by those first buds that break the cold ground and let us start to believe that winter may finally be coming to an end, Spring Dawn is a light weight cowl that will be perfect for those sunny spring days. Knit in the beautifully soft Eden Cottage Yarns Bowland DK I have designed this cowl to use as much of one skein of yarn as possible, making it perfect for those amazing skeins that we just have to have but then aren’t sure what to do with. Featuring an unusual construction, this design uses a provisional cast on and joins the ends with Kitchener stitch so that the cowl can worked flat yet is still seamless. It also makes it ideal for customising to a longer length cowl should you have more than one of those special skeins. The pattern features a dropped stitch pattern with full written and charted instructions and would be suitable for intermediate to advanced knitters, but I would never discourage a confident beginner!
