Ursula by Melinda Measor

An asymmetrical triangle scarf that has two lace patterns. Eyelet clusters form long columns on the bias in the first 3/4, with a wide diamond lace panel finishing up the end of the triangle.

Designer’s description: Ursula takes its inspiration from the sea witch herself from The Little Mermaid. Cables and eyelets join forces to create a unique scale-like texture. The cable texture then develops into a glorious lacework motif that reminds me of waves crashing upon the shore – paired with the Under the Sea colorway from Ancient Arts Yarns the lacework looks like seafoam as it floats back out to sea. This triangular-shaped shawl is worked along the bias, starting at one corner and slowly increasing 3 stitches every 4 rows, giving it that luscious shape. There are 2 sizes written in the pattern, however, this pattern is quite easy to adjust if you’d prefer to make it even bigger (I’ve included modification notes to help with that)! A handy-dandy progress tracker is included to help you with your rows and stitch counts. Yardage for each section is given should you wish to turn this into a scrappy project!
