Windcaller is a heavily cabled hat that will keep you warm all winter. It begins with a tubular cast-on, (though feel free to substitute your favorite stretchy cast-on,) and is worked in 1 by 1 rib. Once the ribbing is complete, an increase round is worked to compensate for the difference in gauge between the ribbing and cable pattern. After the hat measures approximately 2.25 inches or 4 cm less than your desired height, the crown decreases are worked.
