Designer’s description: Ice Floe takes it’s inspiration from the patterns and shifts in colour seen in majestic, slow moving glaciers on their barely perceptible journeys through the landscape. Designed to showcase the gentle gradients found in the John Arbon Textiles range Knit by Numbers, this DK weight project uses a set of six mini skeins, moving from the darkest tone through to the lightest and back again. A narrow i-cord edging keeps things neat whilst the rhythmic stitch pattern keeps things interesting! Skill Level:
Moderately easy – just knits and purls and slipped stitches. You do need to pay attention to your slipped sts with yarn at front or back though. The cowl is knit flat and seamed. If you prefer you can start with a provisional cast on and use a 3-needle bind off to finish.
