Designer’s description: Rayne is a single-skein lace shawl designed especially for variegated or hand-painted yarns. This shawl design will play very well with variegated yarns with medium contrast, tonal colourways and also gradients or striping yarns. The shawl is asymmetrical, starting with a small cast on and increasing along one edge. Rayne can be extended if you want to use up as much as possible of your wonderfully coloured variegated yarn. The shawl uses a simple twisted decrease, yarnovers and a lifted increase to create a fabric that highlights the variegations of the yarn.
